UC Star Awards Weekend at the Sheraton Baltimore North

The UC STAR Awards are accolades bestowed by the line dance community to recognize excellence of professionals in the line dance culture, including dance instructors, choreographers, and pioneers—those who have laid the foundation for a now accepted art form. The formal ceremony at which the awards are presented is one of the most prominent award ceremonies to honor line dance and the first of its kind on the east coast. Once again, this year's event will be an entire weekend—Friday, January 27th thru Sunday, January 29th filled with workshops, dancing, fun, games, food, and of course, the UC Awards ceremony. Meet new people and form lasting friendships. Don't be left out of being among a great group of fellow line dancers. This year's event will promise to fulfill expectations of a memorable weekend event. Weekend Itinerary... Saturday, January 28, 2012 will mark the Union Crew's fifth annual award ceremony. Nominations will be placed on the website for individuals to vote on such categories as Choreographer of the Year, MD Dance of the Year, Out of State Dance of the Year and more. All active line dance family members are eligible to vote—one vote per person per category. Ballots will be electronically tabulated with the winners announced at the ceremony.
